quick-vzabu-na-vau-seria-bionic-commando-1

A quick glance for the entire Bionic Commando series.

The Bionic Commando series is already quite old (began in 1988 all the same) and at the moment it has almost sunk into oblivion, because Capcom is too lazy to engage in it, and these fools do not understand that in the right hands this series can be the same milking cow as your Street Fighter. But about everything in order.

To be honest, I lied a little, saying that it began in 1988. It began in the year 1987, in Japan (well, who, damn it, doubted). And it was called then Top Secret: Hitler’s Resurection (why? For Satan’s glory, of course). When a year later they decided to release this game into the world (that is, in the USA), it was mainly promoted as a sequel to the beloved by many games Commando (from the same Sars, by the way), referring in the brochures to the main character of the game – Super Joe, a soldier of the Special Commando Unit (Special Commando Unit). In the same 1988, Sars released the first Bionic Commando on Nes (dandy, in Russian) and rushed … (it is worth noting that, unlike the Japanese version of the game, in the global version of the game they replaced the entire Nazi swastika with some kind of eagles, the Nazis became imperials (Skyrim for the Nords, Yeah) and everything in that spirit; Damnian censorship)

Having left in 1988, Bionic Commando proposed in principle not a new human -shaped gameplay. The protagonist was equipped with a bionic hand that had a radius of action of 90 degrees around the hero (that is, upward, forward in a diagon, forward directly) and which significantly accelerated the movement of the protagonist, if you know how to use it correctly (and these movements were just like a spider-man). And the protagonist also had a small personal arsenal, which he carefully collected throughout the gaming card. Before landing, the game herself offered you to choose weapons, equipment and a decoder, if only you did not need anything. The hero himself was Natan’s “radioactive” spencer (Rad ”Spencer, and he was with red hair, and in a green overalls. And the plot is extremely simple: you are thrown into the enemy’s zone, and you should: a) find and save Joseph “Super Joe” Gibson, one of the most valuable operatives of the Federation (called the proud FSA), b) find out what kind of albatross project (I’m an albatross … *VUP-wop-wrap *) and how to stop it).

In the meantime, you are transferred from the zone to the zone on your true horse Make a helicopter ensure that you do not run into the convoy of the empire, otherwise you will have to land and deal with all the convoy alone on your own (and this is oh how difficult, because Spencer is so sugar here).

Throughout the game, you will periodically contact the headquarters, and break the enemy’s communications, in order to put it under the rug so that the enemy must come there. And in 1992, the adaptation of this game for Gameboy was released.

For people who owned Gameboy-this bio-nikema commando for https://non-uk-casinos.co.uk/ this hemboy himself offered almost the same. Why almost? But why: the protagonist has a normal strip of health (finally, Spencer does not scatter in the first hit from the first hit (hits, contact with the enemy, contact with spikes, contact with … yes with anything you like! He unless he can break his head against the wall …) that can be increased in size during the game. Suddenly! Spencer began the game in some forest either Maya, or the Aztecs, understand the hell in this monochrome graphics. Ah, yes! Movements began to look more smooth, but lost color. The task of you was still the same: a) to find Super Joe, b) to find out about the Albatros, but in the course of the fulfillment of these missions, the imperials have a lot of doors. After that, the Bionic Commando: Elite Forces in 1999 has already been released for Gameboy Color.

And although Elite Forces was released in the line of the Binik Commando Games is the first game of the line to which Sars has nothing to do with. As in principle and to the rest of the series of Binik Commando. From all other games there are only mechanics, the rest is twisted, twisted and nobody needs nobody. Firstly: you are given two to choose from (!) the nameless (and glory of B-g) the character: male and female (were the feminists already so frenzied then?). Secondly: the plot was also changed to some kind of dregs: the peaceful lands of Karinia terrorize a villain named Artururus. And he terroses Karinia with the help of his army, which he calls the Avars (from the sixth century, he ordered fedex, uh). While elite detachments are struggling with the Avars (elite detachments in tanks, and go on the boars), the command receives pieces of messages from the rear of the enemy from the “Joe commander” (I really hope that Super Joe is not talking about here) that the arthurus decided to cut the albatross project (well, they changed everything, could have changed it). Elite detachments are associated with the bio -onic detachment and ask them to go and do what? Guessed: go to save the commander of Joe, save Karinia in principle and stop the Albatros project. As it turns out, not everything is so simple with local albatross. Here it is a crashed alien ship, and not an unfulfilled development of the Third Reich, which gives its owner mutation forces (do not even ask. Seriously, no. You are young, joking and t. D. in the text). After this game, the series goes into oblivion for a long time, and then suddenly appears, as they say, out of the Blue in the form of Bionic Commando Rearmed, published in 2008.

Being a complete remake of the original bio -novel by the commando, Rearmed still managed to update the mechanics, adding so small, but so pleasant little things to it that it is even not clear that they were not initially. The graphics acquired the third dimension (she would not have to acquire it, 20 years have passed, but not Duke Nukem was developed). Spencer himself lost his nickname. Appeared in the game and physics. The carcasses of enemies ragdally fall through the fourth wall after a short period of time, so as not to interfere. Spencer himself learned to use barrels that are scattered everywhere at the levels, so now you can feel the bottom of the Cong and roll a barrel on the ground in order to knock down (and from the level) of the interfering enemy. Now you do not need to carefully select one weapon from the arsenal to the level, you were given pockets, you carry the whole arsenal with you (as well as an endless ammunition for all this arsenal, but these are already trifles). Now, by chance, while taking a hook instead of swing, it does not mean that you will have to dump down, you can take a shotgun (if you have, of course, you have fired from it, inform yourself enough to start a swing to swing in a new one (again, do not ask how it works, just use it). The plot did not undergo any changes, only supplement to the plot. Now your pilot is constantly talking with you (her name is, by the way, Haley). You suddenly find out that you are not just a commander who executing orders, but who has a commander who has (well, or at least) a wife who suddenly disappeared (in fact she did not disappear anywhere, but this is already in the 2009 Bionic Commando section). The levels themselves have undergone changes insignificant, but necessary to meet modern standards. For example, the final level with albatross was significantly expanded and supplemented, because if he remained in the original, he would be too boring. There is also a local cooperative along with a local and not very multiplayer.

I especially want to note the soundtrack of the game, which is the remixes of the original soundtrack behind the authorship of Simon Viklund (and all because I am a big fan of Payday-a). In 2009, a full -fledged continuation of the series (which has never been) under the simple name Bionic Commando was already released.

Having been released in 2009, Bionic Commando became very ambiguous. Firstly, it was no longer an arcade platform in 2D. This has become a full-fledged 3D action arcade (cartridges that fall out of the enemy at death, the general platform of gameplay (constant jumping on the “platforms”, swinging a la man-spider). The appearance of the protagonist without warning (as in 4 in the morning of June 21 in the 41st) changed. Now he is not a cute red -haired guy with red hair, glasses like Duke Nyukem and a Green Combus. He lost his glasses during his arrest, in prison he grew his hair and repainted with shit from redhead in shitty, the battleship was taken, they gave a green-alcoholic T-shirt (this is how much it was lying with them?) and baggy pants of gray color (good, having the installed RearMed, you can unlock the original appearance of the Spencer). Spencer himself found a nickname back and learned to use a hand in all directions around him, and not just in front of him. The events of the game unfold 10 years after the victory over Albatross. Spencer over these 10 years (like all other bio -niki) became an outcast of society and got into the Union (and you know what they are doing in the Union?), where his hand was taken away and would be shot if it were not for polite terrorists who had undermined the Ascension City a few days before the appointed execution. Spencer leaves prison, they give him a hand and then the whole game begins. The terrorist organization of the Birach (we don’t feel the connection with the Third Reich, not-no-no) undermined the ASCENSION CITY bomb and is now looking for all the secrets of the FSA in a gouged explosion of the city. And you stop them in this city, everything is as always.

Freedom in movement around the city is limited by two things: 1) the whole city is not available to you, you only have one of its districts, and the movement between the areas is carried out by passing the destroyed autonnel, 2) in the area in which you operate, you also have no freedom of movement, you are limited by radiation (so as not to go off the plot of the plot) and if you can get out of the refineThe water has not yet suffocated). The combat system in the game is good, but it could have been better. For example, the game would become much better if there was a mechanic in it as in a game about Dedpool. To make it interesting both to shoot and go to hand -to -hand, t.e. make Spencer’s hand with a full -fledged weapon, like a whip. And so the hand in the game acts as a kind of unnecessary appendage with which you only move.

Finally, they explain to us where Spencer’s wife (name is Emily), and how Bionics works.

As it turns out, bionicik cannot work without a catalyst, a person to whom Bionics himself is very attached. Scientists tried to force AI bioniks to behave humanly, but then they dawned on them that he should not work as a person, he should be a person, so the catalyst’s mind is completely resettled in a bio-plant, and the catalyst itself dies.

The sound in the game is good, pleasant combat and peaceful embabants, good work of the cast, but only the composition itself is small, because it is felt as it has been saved on it. Yes, and it was a sin not to save, because the characters of the speakers “into the plot” can be counted on the fingers, let’s go together: Nathan Spencer (Mike Patton), Joseph “Super Joe” Gibson (Steve Blum), Jane Mag Magdalein (Gabrielle Carteris), Patrick Armstrong (Robert Payne), Godfried Groder (Scott McDonald)Thomas “Sniper” Clark (Robin Atkin Downs) and Emily Spencer (Vanessa Marshall). One, two, three … six, seven! Only seven characters who say at least something important for the plot. Well, would you not save on the site of Grin? Ah, yes, if the GRin studio had not closed, the sequel would have been waiting for us, because there is a wonderful scene after the titers with the Sniper in the title role: he receives the messages encrypted with a mordinum, we see the decoding of one of them with our own eyes, we do not have time to see the decoding of the second, but we have long deciphered attentive and smart fans: “Execution of PhaseTwo Prepareed. Activate Project albatros ”
Yes, you already leave this Albatros alone!
However, in spite of everything, in February 2011, the Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 was released, developed by FatShark (Grin studio was closed).

The first thing that catches the eye on the cover of the game is that Spencer grew a mustache and became like a drunk Irishman. But this is not the point. The bottom line is that this is still a 2D platformer. Spencer looks like he should look (except for a mustache, fuck them). The plot is a sequel to the first Rearramed and Proleta to the Bionik Commando 2009, t.e. most likely we will know because of what, after all, on Spencer and the rest of the bio-bio-hungry. T.To. I myself did not play it, I will not really talk about her anything but one thing: Spencer learned to jump, Wuhu! Less than a year has passed!

And the conclusion will be such: if you have the opportunity to establish the old games of the series (that is, everything that was before the first rearmed) for something hand-sheld, I advise you to do it. And Bionics Commando Rearramed and Bionics Commando 2009 to catch on some sale in Steam and play (67 rubles, you don’t light it up). And if you have a console, then you can buy a reards 2 on PS3 or Xbox 360.
